Pursed-Lip Recovery

Recovery · Beginner · 6 rounds

Long exhale through pursed lips for fast aerobic recovery.

Exhaling through pursed lips creates back-pressure that keeps airways open longer, improves CO2 clearance and slows breath rate after intense effort. Common in altitude climbing and endurance recovery.

How to practice

  1. Inhale for 3 seconds (through the nose)
  2. Exhale (Pursed) for 7 seconds (through the mouth)

Benefits

When to practice

Immediately after hard efforts, or at altitude.
