Cool-Down Descend
Recovery · Beginner · 8 rounds
Progressively slower breathing to close out a session.
The first minutes after training set the tone for recovery. Nasal inhales with long, unhurried exhales shift the body from sympathetic drive into rest-and-digest, lowering heart rate and starting adaptation sooner.
How to practice
- Inhale for 4 seconds (through the nose)
- Exhale (Unhurried) for 8 seconds (through the mouth)
Benefits
- Kick-starts recovery
- Lowers post-workout heart rate
- Reduces next-day soreness perception
- Builds a closing ritual
When to practice
Immediately after every training session, before stretching.
