Pre-Meeting Reset
Focus · Beginner · 5 rounds
Ninety seconds of composure before you present or speak.
The minutes before a presentation or difficult conversation are when arousal spikes and voices tighten. A short hold and a long, slow exhale bring heart rate and voice back under control - discreet enough to do at your desk or outside the meeting room.
How to practice
- Inhale for 4 seconds (through the nose)
- Hold for 2 seconds
- Exhale (Slow) for 6 seconds (through the mouth)
Benefits
- Steadies voice and hands
- Lowers pre-meeting nerves
- Sharpens what you planned to say
- Invisible to everyone around you
When to practice
Right before meetings, presentations, interviews or hard conversations.
