Deep belly breaths with sharp exhales to release a stitch.
A side stitch is usually a cramping diaphragm. Slowing down, breathing deep into the belly and exhaling forcefully - timed to the foot opposite the stitch - releases the spasm within a minute or two.
How to practice
- Inhale (Deep Belly) for 3 seconds (through the nose)
- Sharp Exhale for 2 seconds (through the mouth)
