Power Breath (Brace & Lift)

Braced breath for max-strength lifts and explosive efforts.
Used by powerlifters, Olympic lifters and strongman athletes. Deep belly inhale, brace the core, perform the lift, then exhale. Stabilises the spine via intra-abdominal pressure. Not for those with uncontrolled hypertension.
How to practice
- Deep Inhale for 3 seconds (through the nose)
- Brace & Hold for 4 seconds
- Forceful Exhale for 2 seconds (through the mouth)

When to practice
Heavy compound lifts (squat, deadlift, bench, clean). One brace per rep.
Safety
