Slow, long exhales to prepare for a single deep breath-hold.
The 'breathe-up' before a static hold: long slow exhales drop heart rate and prepare the body. End with one full diaphragmatic inhale before the hold. Never hyperventilate.
How to practice
- Inhale for 4 seconds (through the nose)
- Exhale (Long) for 10 seconds (through the mouth)
