Pregnancy

Birth Prep

10 days · about 16 minutes in total · paid program

Ten days rehearsing the breaths you'll want in labour.

One day completes per calendar day, so a 10-day program takes 10 days. That pace is the point.

Before you start

Nothing here uses breath holds or forceful breathing. Stop at any dizziness, and clear new practices with your midwife or doctor - especially with high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia or a high-risk pregnancy.

Day by day

  1. Rib Room Breath — Find the sideways breath the bump left you
  2. Surge Breath — One long exhale, one surge - learn the shape
  3. Rib Room Breath — More width, less shoulder
  4. Surge Breath — Loosen the jaw and the floor follows
  5. Physiological Sigh — The reset between surges
  6. J-Breath (Breathing Baby Down) — Meet the second-stage breath, gently
  7. Surge Breath — Longer exhale - see where your ceiling is
  8. Left-Side Settle — Protect the sleep you can still get
  9. J-Breath (Breathing Baby Down) — Rehearse once more, no bearing down
  10. Surge Breath — You have the pattern. It's in the body now.
